The video was filmed on a flight from Brisbane to Melbourne by Christine Emanuel, 22, about 2.30pm on April 22 ‘It looked like black smoke and a black craft of some sort,’ she said.

‘I couldn’t see the shape, all I could see was a black object, at first I thought it was a dark cloud in the distance but realised it looked too black and straight to be a cloud.’

She said she woke her partner up who was sitting next to her so he could have a look but he was half asleep and doesn’t remember seeing it.

‘People I’ve shown it to also agree it’s out of the ordinary, especially being that close to my plane and that high in the sky and because it was black.’

Ms Emanuel said the object lingered for about five minutes before it disappeared out of view.

Christine’s sister Larni, 30, said she believes the video may show a UFO.

‘On New Year’s Eve 2017 myself and two other witnesses were able to view a ship flying at low altitude that did not resemble any man-made ship that we have ever seen.

‘What my sister filmed, I’m not sure what it could have been, people I have shown it to are not sure what it is either.’
